The University Computer
Center was
established in 1986 forming the nucleus of ICSE in 1989. The institute since then has
endeavored towards promoting technical education and research in the important and fast
growing branches of Information Technology. It is an autonomous department under The Devi
Ahilya Vishwavidyala with its goal set to produce computer science professionals to meet
the global challenges.
The computer field is one which is constantly changing as new technologies are explored
and existing computer systems are optimized. So being a firm believer in the philosophy
that "The only thing constant is change", our curriculum has been
structured to focus not only on Strong Fundamental Skills and Values but also the
Processes of Analytical and Logical Thinking.
The endeavor of our institute has been to provide the latest and state of
art technologies to hone the skills of the students (one of latest addition being IBM/AS
400). The institute with its Internet connectivity through VSAT & VSNL puts all its
students on the information highway.
The institute conducts directed towards meeting the needs of the IT
industry through instructions, research and service.
